I need to get better at this.

I really need to get better at writing on here.  But when you don't know what to write about you don't write a lot.  I still don't know what to write about.  Writing about myself isn't a strong talent of mine.  But not much has been going on.  I am taking summer semester off from school so my wife and I can work on the yard, that is our big project this summer.  We have made some good progress the front flower bed is planted and growing well.  I made a raised box garden and we planted some veggies and they have started growing well.  Alyson had found a cool way to plant herbs in pots that are buried so they don't spread all over the garden and we got some planted that way.  We have also been busy ripping up the old weed cloth that has more weeds on top of it then it is stopping.  So we have been busy so far this summer. 

Long time ago.

Ok so i know it has been a very long time since I posted anything here. But since no one really reads this it's ok. But anyways I have gotten married, which you already know since most likely you got here from one of my wifes' blogs. But other then my life is the same other then I'm back in school and not likeing my classes this semester. But that is my life in a nut shell right now.

New Years

Ok so first off Happy New Year and welcome to 2009.  But on new years eve me and Alyson had to work during the day, which wasn't too bad.  As we where getting off her mom called and asked if we wanted to do dinner with them, she felt bad because we had invited like 3 other couples to come over to my place and have dinner and watch the ball drop and one by one they all bailed and hadother things going on.  So we stoped by Snyders Meats and picked up some steaks and went to her parents place and they cooked dinner for us.  We then sliped out of there and headed over to my place to watch the ball drop.  Alyson feel asleep at like 11:00 and I just let her sleep and I watched some TV and chilled.  She woke up at 11:50, so that worked out perfect.  We watched the ball drop and I got my first new years kiss in four years :).  So New Years was great I had fun I got to spend it with a beatiful girl and got a new years kiss so I have no complaints at all about it, it was a great start of the new year.

Christmas

Ok so the last week has been fun.  First off Christmas Eve was busy.  First we went to Alyson's grandparents house for her big family party.  Which was fun we ate and sang and  then the gifts came out from her great grandfather, and as I learned real well you never know what you are going to get from him.  I see Alyson's gift come to her with a dolls butt hanging out, I laughed very hard at that.  When she opened it is was the boy form Dora the Explorer and I laughed even more, come to find out later that she then spent the night cuddled up with him and I got jealous.  But any who we then went to my parents house for my family get together.  When we got there my dad had already started to deep fry some shrimp so the house stunk.  But I got on making pork wanton since I told my mom that I would make them as my part of the dinner.  I felt kind of bad because I got working on them and ignored Alyson as she tried to mingle with my family, which can be hard to do sometimes.  So we did that I ate a little and then we gathered together to read Christ's birth out of the Bible and then we opened our gifts, which was fun.  We then had to rush back to her parents house so we could do some more gift opening, ok well so she and her family could.  After all that was done and everyone had kind of gone home or other places and Alyson and I had some alone time we did our gifts.  I got her the two books from the Twilight books that she didn't have and I have still have a little bit more coming that she doesn't know what is yet.  And she gave me a coat, belt, garlic press and a really cool pic frame with some pics of us in it.  And that was it for Christmas eve.  Christmas day was another fun filled day.  She went to her grandparents house to watch her nephews open their gifts and what not and I went to my parents place for brunch.  I then went up to her place and hung out with her there for a bit.  Her parents had gotten me a gift, and IPOD dock with speakers, which I love I had been looking at them so I could listen to my IPOD at work since I can't use headphones there.  We then ran back to my parents house since my mom wanted to see Alyson again, my mom loves Alyson and thinks she is the best thing that has happened to me (which I agree on).  But we show up and no one is around so I say hi loudly and I hear my dad from downstairs so we go down there to say hi.  Well Alyson wore her U of U hoodie, and my parents both went to BYU and my dad records BYU football from 10 years ago on reruns.  So my dad tells me that I forgot to warn her about wearing red in the house and Alyson chuckles a little and blows it off and says that she supports them since they paid her paycheck for awhile.  So then after visiting with my parents for a bit we go back up to Alyson's house and hang out there.  We watch "Gremlins" since she got it for Christmas from her sister.  Well by the time we got gone with that it had started to snow, well we didn't realize how bad it was.  We were down stairs looking at some stuff on the Internet and her dad comes down and says that I wont be able to get out because of the snow.  And so we had the option of taking me home in the Pilot and bringing me back to get my car in the morning/taking me to work and picking me after work, or me sleeping on the couch and seeing how the morning looks.  After he talked it over with her mom they agreed to let me sleep on the couch that night and see what the morning looks like.  Well Alyson's older sister and her two boys also got stuck there so we just had one big sleep over.  Luckily in the morning the plow and been through and I could get out so I could drive myself to work.  But that was my fun little Christmas break.  Now on too the New Year.

Hockey

So last Tuseday I took Alyson, my Cuz Erika, and her boyfriend to a Grizz Hockey game.  It was a lot of fun and nice to hang out with my cuz again, since we don't get hang out much.  She use to live in Colorado and now is liveing in Provo.  So we get to hang out more now.  But while we were there she was talking to Alyson and told her that I took her to her first concert a few years back, which was a Blink 182.  I had forgotten it was her first time going to one till she reminded me of that.  But anywho back to the game it was alittle frustrating at first.  We went to will call and they didn't have any tickets for us so I had to run up and talk to my boss.  He went and looked to see if he could figure it out and they had put the tickets in with some others of his so they never made it to will call.  We went to our sets, that where pretty good seats, and talked for a bit and watched the game.  The worst part of the game was the two ladies that were sitting behind us.  The whole time they sat there and whinned to each other about things in the lives and told stories and what not.  It was kind of distracting from the game and yet kind of funny at the same time.  But anyways we ended up loseing 3-2 but it was still fun.

So ya I needed to update this.

Ok so ya I have needed to update this for a bit now and just haven't. So lets see here what has been going on. The weekend before Thanksgiving Alyson and I went up to Logan for a stake party of Katie's and it was fun. I was fun to see Kati again and hang out with them. The next day we had come home and we didn't have anything planed and I knew "Twilight" came out the day before and I thought that would be a fun surprise for Alyson if I took her to it since we both wanted to see it. And that was fun I really liked the movie. Then on Monday I thought I would surprise her some more and she was talking about pizza that sounded really good so I stopped and got her one of her fav pizzas and got her some red and strawbeary chesscake roses to add just that nice little touch. The day before Thanksgiving we went to "Pie Night" with Kati's family. Now this was the first time that I have ever been to a pie night so it was something new to me but it was a lot of fun to hang out with her whole family and get to know them since they are Alysons second family. Then on Thanksgiving I had to work so I couldn't go to any of the family parties, which really bumed me out. But we were really slow at work so I had asked if I could go home early and they did let me. So when I got to my parents house I texted Alyson and asked her to go to my parents house because they had something there for her. She said she would in a bit so I sat there and waited for her to finish her game and come over. She rang the doorbell and I answered and she got a big smile on her face when she saw me. So we got to spend the rest of the night together which was very nice. But as for the holidays so far that was about it, it was fun and worth it. I am excited to Christmas, since I have it off and can hang out with the families and what not.

Mini Lagoon Reunion

Ok so the other night, Nov. 11th, I helped Alyson do a mini Lagoon reunion with some of the people that we worked with there.  We had like eight people show up, so it was kind of disappointing that way.  But over all it was fun and nice to see the people that I hadn't seen since I quit 10 years ago.  It was also kind of disappointing to see how some of the people had changed.  Some had got more self centered and that was really disappointing.  And others just didn't show up and flaked out and didn't show up even after they said that they where going to be there.  We had one complaint of the night of the week that we did it, on a Tues. night, and others had school or studying to do.  But the thing is Tuesday worked the best for us.  I had the night off and if we did it on a weekend then I wouldn't be able to come because I have to work and Alyson wanted me there to help get set up and clean up after and what not.  So things kind of got frustrating for the both of us with people flaking and what not.  But oh well I guess what is in the past is in the past and we can't change it now.
